cam made me look stupid!
want to put a cam in my 89 lb9 so i went to one and thay starting asking me questions that i couldnt answer!! help me what kind of cam go in this motor? i know its hyd roller but is it flat tap? computer controled?

Roller is one type of lifter and flat tappet is another different type .
What they mean buy "computer controlled" is you can only use certain specification cams in cars with engine computers without major changes to the computer tuning.

Is your cam bad? The lb9 tbi 305 has a very restrictive set of heads and intake. Going more radical with the cam is not that much of an improvement and can sure make a mess of the computer engine control deal. Have you done the common bolts ons? Headers, exhaust, maybe improve the rear gearing?

yea its got the headers,exhust,... so y does the computer controled cam 150bux more?? or are thay just ripping me off?

a hydraulic roller cam regardless if its computer controlled or not should cost the same.
