Sportsman 2 heads on 305?

Comments? I plan for mild boost. I got the heads cheap and got a lt1 cam gonna run 1.6 rockers. Peak lift of .480I .491Ex. Will i run in to cylinder wall clearence issues?

The heads will be milled 20 thou or so. Gonna use the compression drop for added room for boost. The 200cc runners are a little large.

Re: Sportsman 2 heads on 305?

You will run into cylinder wall clearance issues. The 2.02 valves hit the side of the cylinder wall at just over .500 lift bacause of the narrower bore of the 305.

There is an amazing thread with excellent pics on the site here, the pics taken from the bottom of the cylinder the guy posted all sorts of lift measurements vs valve size too.

Here it is!
