87 trans am need help again for college student - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I have an 87 trans am and im getting code 33 at first i didnt see anything wrong but i started takin things off my motor to clean up some parts and i noticed my egr vacuum solenoid didnt seem right. The hoses were hooked up in the front and had only a plug in the back but it loks like something else is also supposed to be hooked to it. If someone could help by sending me pics of what should be there and where its supposed to connect to because i didnt see any wires or plugs laying around except for a blue wire that comes from the ecm i think but it can only reach to about a foot inside the engine compartment. It would be grately appreciated if someone could help me its also a 305 tpi

I think you're taking about the vent port. It just has/had a little foam filter on it.

could te knock sensor be causeing this problem or what else might it be
