heres my problem car is throwing code 33 after changeing the mass air flow sensor and the mas relay. It runs but if you push the gas down just a little it doents want to move it will rev up to just below 2000. it acts like it wants to die. If i keep the rpms below 1600 it will move but it takes forever to get up to speed. I also replaced the vacuum lines. i thought theres was nothing wrong with the wires but i think im wrong i have found 2 black wires that have been spliced together but there spliced to 2 other black wires. i just now found the blue wire from the mass air flow sensor is spliced into over by the Relay but the other wire that is spliced into it leads to another relay but i dont know what the relay is for. I can add picks if need to help verify things. Its on a 87 trans am 305 tpi the relay is on the driver side.
the first pic has the relay which im talking about its the one on the right the maf relay is laying on the wheel well because the holes for the screws r broke
When i first bought the car it ran great for like 3 days and then noticed the water pump was bad so i replaced it and when i put the Mass air flow senor back on i guess i had the wires to close to the belts and they rubbed up on it and wore right through a couple of them and the expossed wires were touching one of the brackets. Dont know if that caused the ecm to get messed up or what but any help would be much appreciated.

You did that 1 of 3 relays is laying down on the wheel well right?
OK, so 3 relays, here we go: Listed as if you are looking right at them (TPI setup)
1) MAF Burnoff relay org.#14078907 is replaced by #10094701(closest to engine)
2) MAF Power relay #10067925 (middle)
3) Fuel Pump relay org.#14078907 is replaced by #10094701(beside driver side fender)
Just a thought, have you checked your tranny fluid???

didnt think about checking the fuses and my burn off relay and fuel pump relay i guess are the origional ones it there because this is the only number i see on them 14078907 and there pretty faded
i rehooked up the wire the way the person before me had it and replaced the fuel relay and burnoff relay and now i can hear the fuel pump running all the time am i supposed to hear it and when i first got it i never really paid attention to it so if someone could help me and im still getting code 33
PLEASE HELP
I bought a replacement its a BWD brand i think i bought it from autozone but havent put it in. I did put it in once and it was giving me more codes so i kinda thought maybe i shouldnt yet but i will put it in today and see what happens and let yopu know the results
i replaced the MAF power relay with the BWD brand and my car didnt want to run let alone start up. so i put the old one back in and it started up fine i checked the spark plug wires and i have 2 that are cracking so i taped them up for now but im still getting code 33. Im thinking about finding a new wire harness for it because i am finding more wires that have been spliced into i found another one today that leads to the starter its a orange wire that leads from the starter and when it gets to the top of the moter its spliced into with a red wire also connected to it.
