I know exactly where the fuel pump relay is at,,, but which one is it? There are three relays on my driverside firewall right next to the brake booster deal. Is there a way to identify which one is the relay? Any advice would help. Thanks fellaz. Ohh. My Camaro is a 1986 IROC-Z.
Cool thanks guyz but, I dont have a TBI, mines a TPI and everything is stock other than the 305,,,, I dropped in a 350. Well then, Im going to have to shoot the duck in the dark. Does anybody have theyre relay in the middle?
Another way to possibly tell is by taking the relay off the firewall, my original fuel pump relay used a five pin connector, but when you looked at the relay itself it only had four pins... The burnoff and the Maf power relay were five pins. However, if they were ever replaced that might not help you, because the replacement relays I was given by NAPA are all the same part #, and are all five pin. Another way is you can look up the part number on th relay and see what it cross references to... My original set of relays were actually stamped "MAF Power" and "burnoff" and my fuel relay only had a part number, but my fuel pump relay looked much newer than the other 2, so I think it was replaced by the PO once before.
If your just looking to replace it, my car now uses the same five pin relay for all three, with no drivability issues. I was concerned that it wouldn't work, because the guy at the parts store doesn't know a thing about cars other than what his computer tells him, but he was right for once...
On my 86 IROC stock 305 TPI my fuel pump relay is the one farthest to the left of the three(closest to the brake booster)
He said he has the >> TPI. I have the >>TBI.

OK, so 3 relays, here we go: Listed as if you are looking right at them (TPI setup)
1) MAF Burnoff relay org.#14078907 is replaced by #10094701(closest to engine)
2) MAF Power relay #10067925 (middle)
3) Fuel Pump relay org.#14078907 is replaced by #10094701(beside driver side fender)
***All part #'s are AC Delco Parts***

So if I am reading this correct the fuel pump relay is the the one on the firewall closest to the drivers fender? Right?
Strange, my 86 is different... Of course there's enough extra wire that I can swap them from relay to relay. I'll have to check it out but mine was setup differently than yours, possible difference between the 86 and 87 IROC's? Witnlyns right if not positive check the wires to verify. It's possible the PO of my car messed around with things, I've had to fix a few wires twisted and held together with electrical tape, he was a hack!
