Ok, about six months ago a disassembled the upper engine and installed all new gaskets. I figured while I was at it I would also remove the front engine parts and remove rust, prime, and new seals. I got the parts manifold and up reinstalled. Heres the problem, I let everything else sit for about four months with no before and after pics or labeling anything. I just got back into it and cant remember what bracket goes where. Damn it, I should have photographed and labeled everything. Someone please help with advise and/or pics. My haynes manual shows limited pics of carb models.
Top left, alternator bracket. Mounts to the front stud on the lower front TPI runner bolt, the water pump, and the alt.
Bottom left, AC bracket. Mounts to the cylinder head with one bolt, the other goes into the engine hoist bracket that mounts to the front two lower intake bolts at the thermostat housing.
2nd from left, one of the PS/AC brackets. The two visible holes go on the LH exhaust manifold. The two upper holes (on the LH side in the pic) are for the AC compressor to mount to. The lowest hole is for the PS pump.
3rd from left, cant remember. I think it mounts to the water pump and alt and is the bracket for the slotted adjuster for the smog pump.
4th from left mounts to the alternator. The end of the flat piece mounts to a threaded hole on the back of the alt, the through hole is the spacer from the head to the alt.
Thanks man, I think I jumped the gun and bolted my fuel rails to manifold without slipping bracket on first. I wish I could find some detailed engine pics of an stock 86' TA with TPI.
Does somebody have photos, that would definitley help, im a little slow..lol
