swaping 96 vortec 350 for my l98

l98 is blown... found a good deal on a vortec truck motor that runs good..

My question is will I see much of an improvement in this motor as far as Hp/Tq goes? I knows its only rated at 10more Hp but that is with the truck intake and not the Tpi intake.

Also, what would be the largest cam i could use with the stock vortec heads?

Thanks

Vortec heads require special Vortec base to run TPI

Vortec heads are good for .470 lift unless you change the springs and retainers or machine valve guides for more retainer clearance
