Cam suggestions LTR

Hi guys, I just put my Iroc away for the winter and am planning to do an engine rebuild in the spring. The car is my daily driver in the spring – fall months and will rarely ever see the track. I plan on keeping my displacement 350 or possibly bore it out to a 355 with all new internals. I think I have narrowed my heads down to either AFR 180s or Trick flow 23s. I also have AS&M Long Tube runners and an Edelbrock high-flo base. I think I will end up keeping this intake since it is a street car and will keep the fun factor with all the torque (plus it was pretty expensive). My question is the cam. I think I am aiming towards comp cams XR276HR or possibly one up XR282HR.
XR276HR - @.05 in. 224 ex. 230 110 LSA
XR282HR - @.05 in. 230 ex. 236 110 LSA

Would these cams be too much for a LTR intake or are there any better options? I am looking for a cam with a noticeable choppy idle and obviously good power to match the heads and intake. I also plan on getting a higher stall converter and keeping my stock 3.23 gears. Let me know what you think. My goal is over 300rwhp with this set-up with the right tune.

Eric

Re: Cam suggestions LTR

The 282 is definately wrong; guys are running that duration with Minirams >6500 ; way past TPI range

Some TPI examples
TPiS recommend their ZZ9 cam on aTPI with head mods
212 /226 .483/.520 LSA 112

Lingenfelter
# 74216 Camshaft TPI - 213/219 .493/.502 HR112
# 74211 Camshaft TPI - 211/219 .530/.560 HR112
Even at those figures they recommend a 2200- 2800 stall for best performance

I had great success with the ZZ4 cam and TPI intake mods; approx 320Hp
208 / 221 .474 /.510
Cheap new ZZ4 engine take out cams around @ $80 - $140

Re: Cam suggestions LTR

I thought the 282 was high for sure but I just picked it because I used the camquest software and it recommended it as the first choice with my set-up. The 276 was in there as a recommendation as well. I plan on getting a high stall converter so that wont be a problem for me.
