Car: 86 Camaro IROC-Z Engine: 350 TPI, 22 lbs Bosch III injectors Transmission: 700R4 auto from a 87 Corvette Axle/Gears: Stock | IROC would not rev. above 2,000 RPM's Hey fellaz. Do you guyz remember when I sent out a message about my IROC not wanting to rev. above 2,000 RPM,s. Well I found the issue. Just for safe measure I replaced the FPR. While I was at it, I pulled out the dizzy to see if there was something wrong other than the new 7 pin ignition control module. Well once I took out the shaft, I then took apart the reluctor. Guess what I found? the round magnet that is mounted above the pick up coil was shattered. When I bought the dizzy from my uncle, he told me that it was fine so I never checked the condition of the vital parts. I replaced the whole pick coil, dropped it in, disconnected the EST connector, cranked the camaro, set timing at 6*, and VVVRRRRROOOOOOOMMMMMMMM. Boy did I have that engine Redlining.
Now I just gotta fix the tranny. Doesnt want to shift out of 1st unless I floor it. Peace. | | | |
