some 305 TPI LB9 questions about aftermarket stuff...

Hey guys, well I've done a search and couldn't find much on the matter. Anyway, what's are a good pair emissions-compliant (for CT) headers for 305 TPI engine? I also would like to possibly bypass the smog pump (probably with shorter belt, what size would that need?) for now and gut the cat, since I bet those things are taking away from the engine, and my next emissions test is due in 2 years. Any way to plug up the holes in the headers for those things for the meanwhile? Would that help with gains or is that just a waste of time? What diameter exhaust would you recommend too? Something that's good bang for the buck.

And after that's out of the way, what's a good intake/cam combo for a 305? Would this stuff be worthwhile?

SLP has or had a nice set of stainless shorty headers and Y-pipe that is very good quality and easy to install as far as headers go.

This is a very good hydraulic roller camshaft for a 305.

Re: some 305 TPI LB9 questions about aftermarket stuff...

Hey, sorry to bring up an old post but figured it would be better then to start a new one.

I want to put a cam in my 305 also to wake it up a bit.

Would I have to do any other modifying or tuning for that cam to work?

and is that better then an lt1 cam?
