I don't know all the specifics, but you will need to figure out how you're going to make a distributor work on the LT1 intake (been done, not sure whats involved) because the LT1 uses Optispark.

Not really sure there is a huge power advantage here - I mean, obviously some, but worth the effort for a minimal gain... i dunno.

Aren't there some differences in the water passages?

Re: Lt1 heads and intake on l98

you have to drill the hole and add a 5* distributer spacer... its angled at 5* towards the driver side..

the heads, there have been a few posts and pictures, but you need to modify the heads a great deal because they use reverse cooling, you need to weld up part of the coolant passage on the bottom, and drill a large hole in one side and add a tube either epoxy'd or welded in... i forgot the name of the guy who did it, but he had pictures of the process and how.. not something a rookie should under take at all

BUT.. if you want to take the short cut... there is a guy selling the intake and heads already converted in the "engine and performance" for sale section board.. he wants $1,000 for intake and heads... not a bad deal if you take into consideration how much work is involved

yes but you need to make a distributer spacer and put it on a 5* angle, get this part wrong and you will chew up the dist. gear or cam.. or both

here is the listing for the already converted intake and heads i was talking about
