injector size for 383?
I've been out of the loop for a while, all the guys with my join date are mods now
I'm putting a 383 TPI into my 84 Chevy 4x4. I bought the engine from a member on here (kevin) along with a tpi set up (speed density) he had laying around.
what I know about the 383:
1. 4 bolt main
2. 305 heads cut out to 2.02s
3. aluminum roller rockers
4. the tpi is running stock 1LE injectors (I'm guessing 19lbs)
5. was dyno'd some where at 425-450 HP with a carb
my truck:
700r4 trans, 208 transfer case, one ton axles front and read welded with 5.38 gears.
the truck is only used for sunday drives and truck pulls, I will more than likely be adding some "hidden n20"
am I going to want to run the 19s,22s,24s, or 30s
and since everyone loves pics:

on this forum, the link is in the posting. for 400 hp you will need prob 30lb hr. you will be ok with 24lb hr they will be maxed at 5000rpm with that setup, it does not make HP just robs it. impressive making that much hp with 305 heads
is that a murdered out Jeep in the background?

Re: injector size for 383?
I would use a set of Bosch SVO 32lb injectors, adjust the fuel pressure and you are set. I used a set on my built LT1 that made 450hp and they were awesome...
