Dual Cooling Fans ??

I have an 86 Iroc w/ the single electric fan, and I want to upgrade to the dual cooling fans that came w/ the 350. If I find a 350 donor car, what all do I need to take?? Just the fans, of do I also need the upper and lower fan shrouds?? And will one from a TPI Trans Am work in a Camaro?? Are they the same?? How much cooler should this make my car run???

switching to the dual fans won't make your car run cooler until they kick on, which is 225 degrees in our cars. what I just did was put in a 180 deg. thermostat and got the jet fan switch from summit racing for about 38 bucks. that was the best $50 I've spent on the car so far. the fan switch will kick on at 200 and shut off at 185. I would try that and see if you car runs cooler before you spend all the time and money switching to dual fans. and I have dual fans on my trans am and the second fan never turns on until I use the a/c anyways (which I never do). so I would go with the thermostat and the fan switch. its a good $50 spent. I'd recomend it to anybody!

Drivers Fan kicks on @ 225, Passengers @ 235. Both kick on for me, Talk about Voltage Drop ! When my A/C is on the Passengers is on almost all the time.

is running dual fans with pully's a bad idea?
Are the power pully's at all that good? Do they actually maintain good drive to the alt?

I'm running quad fans. Two in front and two behind the radiator.
Cools pretty good. They are set to come on at differant times.
