I'm wanting to buy new gears and noticed that is has the ones I want for either 2 or 3 series carriers. I have a 10 bolt and 3.23's factory w/limited slip (I think thats right). So any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brett

The flange where the ring gear bolts to the carrier is a different thickness. The pinion on lower numeric ratio gears is larger, so the ring gear has to be located farther away from the centerline of the pinion. Therefore, a 2-series 3.73 ring gear will be thicker than a 3-series 3.73 ring gear would be.

You need to be sure what gears you have now before you order new ones (assuming what you have are the factory gears and/or carrier). 3.23 and higher are 3-series, 3.08 and lower are 2-series.

Ok thanks that helps alot. I do have factory posi, 3.23's and it's a 10 bolt.
