What size thread is the shift lever stud on a TH400?
I can't get anything to thread on there. I think maybe the threads are messed up on the top where I can't see it, but I thought I'd ask to make sure I tried the right size first. Thanks.

put an open end wrench on it to figure out the diameter, dumbass. then it's be a safe bet it's not bastard threaded so even you ought to be able to tell if it's fine or course and go from there.

I aint that blind hillbilly. . I'd swear it looks liek 3/8-16 thread....but one won't thread on. soo before I go chewing up the thread with a die..I wanted to ask and be sure.
