camaro vs vette tranny

i have a 27 spline 700r4, will a 27 spline vette tranny fit. iwondering if it is the same length. and does it have the same horse power rating as the camaros or is it higher. i know the servo is different but is that it.

yep it'll fit and work, long as both have the v8 bolt pattern

if its from an 82 it will fit, if its from an early 84 you'll have to change the tail shaft. If its from any other vette late 84->mid 93 its a 30 spline

Check the length, since most Corvettes are shorter.

with changing the tail shaft is that just the cover. what about the spline that goes to the drive shaft, does that have to be changed with the tail.
