fresh rebuild on tranny, now car is sluggish

I just rebuilt my 700 and now the car is veeeery sluggish. Is the tv cable out of adjustment. I cannot tell when the car is shifting at all. It has perfect smoothness....(insert sarcastic happiness here).

Right before it shifts, the rpms go up 150 or so. kinda like riding the clutch in a standard. In full throttle the tranny shifts at 4000, way too early for my needs.

I usually shift my self with my mega shifter, but if the tranny is shifting so early then the line pressure is not there to sustain the higher point, so does that mean I need more tv.

I also don't have my lockup hooked up yet. I am too lazy to run a toggle. Any sugs about the homemade lockup switch would be good too.

When I floor it I get a feeling that the car is being flooded with gas. I never had this problem before but after the rebuild I do. It also sat for a long time while it was broken (a month I think).

sorry for the long post

Everyday, I look at my Trans/Am, and it makes me sad to see its current state of disrepair. I don't even know how long it has been.
When I bought the Nissan, I assumed it was my daily driver, not my exclusive driver.

It is a 355 82 trans am. My mods are here, my 82 T/A
