T-5 to th350 swap

I have an 84 z28 with a 230hp 350 on a T-5 from an 86 Iroc. I have read a lot of reviews posting about how weak this tranny is. I believe it! I tore up my T5 last year, and guess what it was from? A V-6 s10! The guy i bought the car from not only put this weak *** t5 in from a v6 s10, but he also replaced the clutch with the s10's. So after I broke the tranny, I sought out for a replacement. I found a t5 from an Iroc on ebay ($350), bought it, and installed it. Now I read these posts on how weak t5's are. Now I will consider getting a th350 that can take some power. Only problem is that I don't know if my driveshaft with be the right length, If I need to get another torque arm, and about getting the proper crossmember. Does anyone know if I need to get a different torque arm, driveshaft, and crossmember? If I do, can you post some websites that will carry them? Also, will an aluminum driveshaft work? I'm planning on putting a crate engine in with approx. 400-500 HP and I need a good foundation. Thanks, Joe

you can use your drive shaft as long as your 350 trans has a 9" tail. as far as everything else, there are 3 or 4 adapter kits out there that you can buy that will help you mount up your torque arm. B&M, Hurts & spohn. make them. There are many many posts on this subject in here......D2M4E.
