ok i have a bit of a prob im trying to adjust the govenor now it shifts just fine wot but its the PT thats the prob it shifts to soon and i know you can grind on the weights to get it right
the problem is now because i installed the .500 boost valve and super survo .
to anyone who has done this a seek your help , are the larger things that just flop around the items that control the part throtle shift, and if so how much should i grind off of them ? then do the smaller weights on the inside control the wot shift points?
thnaks

In most cases you have a light & a heavy spring in the governor, remove the light one, and it will raise the speed in the 1-2 & 2-3 part throttle shifts.
Make sure the TV cable is adjusted correctly, if it is tight at WOT then you could install the "over the center correcter" from Sonnax, this will allow later shifts at light throttle openings without affecting the WOT shifts.
The inner weights affect the WOT shift points, the springs change this slightly. The part from Sonnax goes on the TV cable at the end where it starts to pull and it will compress first before pulling the TV cable out of position, thus allowing more TV pressure and therefore later part throttle shifts.
I got some info on my shifting problem before. My 1-2 shift is perfect but my 2-3 shift is a little early, but I can deal with it. I think you or TransFixLeo said that a heavier 2-3 shift valve (?) spring would make the 2-3 shift higher.
My point is I'd like to have higher PT shifts but didn't want to upset the 1-2 shift.
