Double Downshift

My tranny, when it downshifts under WOT, and it does a 3-2 shift, it will sometimes shift back up to 3rd, then try and hit 2nd again, obviously pegging the tach. If I let off the throttle, it will go to 4th. I have even had it downshift, and hold 2nd for way too long. I have adjusted the T.V. cable, no problems there. Drives and shifts perfect until I go to WOT. Any ideas?? I am at a TOTAL loss on this one.

My tranny would do that sometimes before (Diff tranny now) I dont know what it is, I thought it was the tranny going bad actually! Driving along and peg it to WOT, would downshift, accelerate, shift, and try and downshift again pegging the R's to Redline.

Yeah, 86, thats me exactly. The ONLY thing I know to do without doing a valvebody kit is to try some synthetic tranny fluid and new filter. Kinda hate to rebuild such a low mileage tranny just for that...
