Edge Racing Converters?

There is a company on Ebay that is selling torque converters, 9.5" lock up converters. I won an auction, but it was below the reserve price which is apparently the same as their buy it now price. I win it for $415, but they won't take anything but $490, so I can't get it. I've tried searching on several sites about this converter, andcan't find anything. Frankly, i'm curious about it. It's a little cheaper in price than the vig or the ACT converter, and they guarantee that it is more efficient than any other converter out there. Anyone have anything aabout them?

their website is http://www.edgeracingconverters.com

For the same price you can get a Midwest Convertor. I didn't see anything about the on there site about a warranty or free stall changes. Midwest has 2yr warranty and 1 free stall change during that time.

Get a Torco unit. I've got the Torco 9.5" unit with the full size lock-up. 3800 stall. I cut consistent 1.6x 60 ft times at the track, yet cruise right along on the highway without the motor breakn' a sweat. I paid $300 shipped for mine. Talk to Mickey at Torco. He's a great guy to do business with.

Yes it is. Each converter is built to spec, nothing is off the shelf. I abuse mine regularly and its holding up just fine. And the customer service can't be beat. You'll never deal with a nicer guy than Mickey. Give them all call, you won't be dissappointed!

FYI.

There is a group purchase for th 9.5" edge torque converter through impalassforum.com. They are selling for $450.00.

Dana at probuilt mentioned this TC to me, I did some research, talked to Andre at edge and I purchased one on Friday.

The offer is good through January 7th and you have to mention the Impalassforum group purchase!

Any thoughts about this particular TC?
