TCI Transmission problem

I just want to save you all some grief by warning you to stay away from TCI transmissions. I bought one and it destroyed itself after about an hours worth of run time. They do not stand behind their product.

You are not the first, and sad to say not the last. What happened to the transmission? If I can be of help, let me know?

From what they tell me, a bearing disintegrated, taking a bunch of other stuff out with it. This is after about an hours worth of normal use. They told me it was not my fault, but yet I would have to pay for the repairs because my 90 day warranty expired while this "brand new" transmission sat in my garage waiting for spring. I bought it in Janurary, and used it for the first time at the end of April.

I appreciate your offer but they have already repaired it at my cost.

For those who buy units from me, the warranty starts when the transmission is installed, not from point of purchase.

Yes, I've heard good things about you. Keep it up. I don't think TCI realizes just how powerful of a tool the internet is and how much it could make or break a company. Instead of just getting the word around to a few fellow racers at the track, or the local cruise in, a person can get his message across, be it good or bad, to many more people at a time.
