Just wanting to get a few opinions... I just changed out my governor to the corvette unit, because my wot shift points were around the 4200 rpm range.. Now I have the corvette unit in, and the shift points are at about 5200rpm for 1-2, and 5000rpm for 2-3 at WOT.. The only problem is that under part-throttle accelleration, the 3-4 shift will not occur until I reach approx. 58-60 mph... TV cable is adjusted correctly (verified by line pressure gauge), and the 3-4 shift occured at about 40mph with the old governor.. If I remember correctly, one spring on the governor affects part-throttle shift points, and the other side controls WOT?? Let me know what you think, I would like to maintain the WOT shifts at 5k rpm, but I need it to shift into 4th at 40mph.... If it makes any difference, I have 3.08 rear gears...
Dana @ Probuilt is the king of playing with shift points, but since he isn't here right know, I'll tell you what he would say (I already asked him this question )
Take both springs out from the old governer and swap them with the ones out of the corvette. The lighter weights of the vette governer will give you your WOT shifts, and the stiffer springs of your old governer will help you retain your part throttle shift points.

The most important thing concerning line pressure is that you have an instant rise in pressure with any pull of the cable. The base setting at idle should be 2-4 psi higher than with the cable disconnected.
The gauge is about 30 bucks, and connects easily to a port on the drivers side of the trans...
