a few 700r4 questions

I am in the process of building a 700r4 and I needed advice on a few things. I have already ordered the rebuld kit which comes with borg warner clutches and, I ordered a stiffer 1-2 accumulator spring.

Would you recommend going with a 13 vane pump for my car? i see .500 boost valves advertised on ebay and i wasnt sure exactly what they did, are they pretty much the same as a shift kit? Would the boost valve work well with a shift kit and accumulator spring?

As far as torque converters go, what stall speed would work best for my car. The mods i have done to my car are in the sig, i also have 3.73 ring and pinion gear that i have yet to install. If I eventually put a different cam in my car, would this effect the stall speed of my converter?

Any suggestions helpful!

I'd go with a 2400-2600 stall converter. A cam will have no effect on your converter, but can make it less useful if you change your powerband to much. (So just tell the cam company your setup and they'll help). I would suggest a case saver, cause I have one, and It reduces vibrational wear on the transmission. They are cheap too! Also, a trans cooler is an good purchase. They are not expensive either.

I would recommend a little higher converter. The torque peaks out at around 3200-3400 stock. So you need a convertor that is around 400-600 lower than your torque peak. I have a 2800 in mine and kind of wished I'd went with a 3000.
