Neutral Safety Switch Question

I'm finishing up on installing the motor and trans in my 89 RS, and I've got a question about the neutral safety switch. The trans is a 700r4. Where exactly does the plug for the NSS plug in? I'm not the one that disconnected it, and I can't find where it goes. Is it above the trans, on the shift linkage? Please help me out here, I can't figure out where this wire goes!

Maybe I'm wrong about this pigtail being for the NSS. What I'm looking at is a wire hanging down under the car, by the trans. There are two connectors that go back to the trans. One has 4 wires, and that one plugged in like right behind the shift lever on the trans. The other one has two wires, a purple and a yellow. It's only about a foot long, so it's gotta go somewhere on the trans. Is there a plug on top of the trans, or under the car on the bottom of the shifter?

one plug on the tranny is for the lockup on the TQ converter...

the only other one i can think of on the tranny is for the VSS..... but 89s dont have a VSS on the trans... only 90+ camaros do.
