I just did this swap 2 weeks ago...

Well, you need:
- a 700-R4
- a torque converter (84+ are 30 spline)
- a 700-R4 tailshaft housing (if the tranny doesnt come with one)
- correct speedometer gears and speedometer gear sleeve (if the tailshaft housing doesnt already have one in it)
- a 700-R4 crossmember to modify to fit your car OR a Spohn 200C to 700-R4 crossmember
- a driveshaft and torque arm from a 3rd Gen 700-R4
- a shifter from a 700-R4 car
- dustsheild for a 700-R4 (optional)

Everything else from the 200C can be re-used. The TV Cable will fit and will just need to be re-adjusted. The wiring harness will plug right into the 700-R4. The speedometer cable will need to be pulled a little towards the rear of the car and should just screw on. The cooling lines will line right up. The only thing that I got hung up on for a bit was the tranny dipstick tube...I had to bend it to get it to fit. The 200C had the tube entering the tranny behind the servo housing, towards the rear of the car. The 700-R4 has it before the servo. You might be better off finding one from a 700-R4.

Overall the swap wasn't that bad and took me about 5 hours, mainly by myself, using a lift and tranny jack.

I'm working on a writeup and should have it ready in a few days...

As far as cost goes...it depends...I had a brand new Pro-Built Street/Strip 700-R4, a new Yank 2400 Converter, a new Spohn crossmember, a used tailshaft housing, a used driveshaft and torque arm and a new Hurst Dual Gate 2 shifter...it ran me around 2k for everything. But you gotta remember that most of the expensive stuff I bought new (Tranny, Converter, Shifter).

If you have any other questions, just shoot me a PM and I will be happy to answer them for ya.

Once I'm finished I'll try to get it as a link from the Tech Articles page.
