I posted this over in the History section as well, but maybe thats the wrong spot. I acquired a transmission when I bought my 84 Camaro and I'm trying to identify it. Its a cast iron case 4 speed, external linkage, and it has what looks to be a torque arm mount. The numbers on the trans are 14030974 and 6261888. Is this an 82 F-body 4 speed or something else?
Does anyone have more information about the above Saginaw Tranny? I have the same numbers, cept I have one more.. hard to read but I believe it's 3925656. What's the gear ratios? How much power can they handle? what are they worth? anyone know?
