What VSS sensor connects to this tailshaft?

Below is a picture of the output shaft of an NP205 transfer case, which I'm swapping into my Jeep Wrangler. I'm doing a full Chevy driveline, with a 350 TBI motor.

Obviously, the t-case is set up for a mechanical speedometer. I have both an electric and cable-driven speedometer available, but I'd much rather use the electric gauge.

If I went electric, I'd ideally need to find a sensor that would bolt right up to the threaded mount. I could then run a VSS buffer into the ECM, and the rest of the signal into the speedometer. Everybody would be happy.

I saw this post, in which a Grand Wagoneer's VSS sensor is discussed -- but I don't know if it'd bolt up to my GM transfer case. The VSS sensor in my Wrangler is removable, but it's not threaded onto the gear (it's bolted in place like a distributor).

Any thoughts on how I can do this electrically, without using one of those expensive intermediary boxes?

Magnetic speed generator

Painless sells a unit. It goes in between the cable and the trans and has two wires that go to the buffer.
