How much gear lube in the differential?

I put about 2 quarts in with a packet of posi additive, is this adequate?

Should be good. You fill until the oil is just at the plug a little below is fine.

I couldn't see the oil, thats my prob, however it was coming back out a little, but I think it was being syphoned. Just want to make sure if 2 quarts will be okay.

Rotate the axle a few times then stick your finger in the hole and if you can feel oil your good to go.

i usually fill it till it starts to run out the fill hole then put the plug in it.
