1999 WS6 6spd, what rear end do I have?

I just picked up a 1999 WS6 w/ 6spd. The rear end gears are shot. Can someone tell me what gears came in this car stock? 3:23, 3:73 ? or ?

I would like to go up a bit. What do you recomend and what does it intail regarding computer and speedometer requirements.

I still need to drive it daily... but like all of us.. I want it to hit hard.

Thanks

Patrick

i am pretty sure it would be 3.42's or less in that 10 bolt rear end stock.

3.73's are a nice choice for a 6 speed.

by all means i am NOT trying to drive you away from this message board but i must say that this board is primarily for 3rd generation f-bodies and so there will not be AS many experts on this board as there would be on a LS1 message board..... i went searching around on the internet and i found a website called LS1.com
in there i found a FAQ place that stated that your car will have a 3.42 rear axle ratio since your car is a 6 speed...it is posted here..... http://www.ls1.com/index_faq.html#501

they also have a message board on there so if u wanna join that one too you will be able to talk to a lot more 4th gen owners..........

i checked out jegs and here is a speedo recalibrator that i found for 94-03 GM vehicles..... http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...15&prmenbr=361

good luck and i hope you still post around here! and btw does your car have t-tops? cuz if so then i am so jealous!! i want your car!
