Will a flywheel from a 86 Camaro work on a T56?

I just got a flywheel off of ebay from an 86 Camaro for like $20. I figured I would use this as a core when buying a new flywheel for a 97 Camaro from Napa ($50 plus $120 core). But...if it is possible to use this flywheel, I'd rather do that to save a little money. Any ideas?

In short: Save yourself a lot of hassle and get the right LT1 parts. They work perfectly.
