No Secondaries?? (TV cable)

ok i have an 84 TA L69 4bbl and awhile back i messed with the TV cable and messed things up...well i got it back to what it was b4 (atleast i thought so) now i noticed something.....

normally when i drive if i'm going 35 and hit the gas 3/4 it just downshifts, then if i WOT then it down****fs and the secondaries on the carb open (that's right isn't it???) well now it just downshifts and doesn't have that "push u in your seat power" is this due to the TV cable being still messed up or is this carb related???

thank you

yyyyaaayyyy ,well the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, are all new, i think it's still the TV cable, altho i think it maybe the tranny ....like 75% TV cable and 25% Tanny. i hope it's just the TV cable...also my TV cable WON'T ratchet when i try to adjust it the way haynes tells me to. so is that a bad cable???
