New speedometer gear?

I swapped my 2.73 gear a while back for a 3.42. A few months later my tranny went out. So im gonna get a new transmission and in the process im gonna change the speedo gear. I just need to know where to get one, i know you can get them from the dealer but is that the only place?

The dealer is the one place you can be sure of getting them. Some speedometer shops or transmission shops might have them too.

I just did the exact same swap == drum/2.73 to disc/3.42 ...i talked to the GM guy and he told me that since the 3.42 came with a standard transmission that he couldn't get me the right gear for my automatic. I don't believe him....anyone know the GM part number ??
