Is it common to leave out the TV exh check ball on a 700 ? Some sources seem to say to leave it out, though I'm not sure of the reason. The ATSG manual does not mention anything about it. It is the one larger ball (5/16" I think)

I recently read a few threads about it too, since I just put a trans go kit in and it didn't mention it. I left mine in.
Basically from what I've read, it's the failsafe incase the TV cable snaps - it'll force full line pressure at all times. Most people will say it's OK to leave it out.
I haven't noticed any problems with it in, and many people haven't noticed problems with it out, so it's up to you.

well in that case I'd just as soon leave it in, better to be stuck with full line pressure than low line pressure in the event of cable snapping.

So what would be the advantage of leaving it out ??
