I´ve recently made a swap in my Turbo Trans Am, but the TH200 used an electrical VSS where the TH400 uses a mechanical. I´ve searched several boards on how to get the stock speedo to work, but all I find is "they MAYBE have a solution, You MIGHT be able to, I THINK this should work" and so on. But no one ever finish off the question how they made it work.
Please, could someone tell me how they actually made their stock speedo work with the mechanical VSS. There must be several who done this swap in the end.
I´ve actually emailed the companies that is suggested, but haven´t got any answers back.
Thanks in advance
Andreas from Sweden

I´ve read about every thread I´ve found about this, but everywhere is the MIGHT, and SHOULD. And as I stated above, I´ve emailed the companies but got zero back.
At the moment, I´ve come in contact with dakotadigital.com and it looks like there will be a way to solve this without having to replace that mechanical piece.
Too bad no one ever posted HOW they actually solved the problem...

If anyone is interested to know, the parts from Dakota Digital worked flawless. First off I want to thank them for their top service and handling, great company to deal with. The parts to order was: Pulse Generator, $25.69 Speed Generator Interface, $79.95
The install was super easy and with no headache. Pictures can be found at my webpage under pictures/transmission: http://www.turbolunkan.com
