Alright so either the throwout or the pilot bearing went out so I am just going to purchase an entire clutch kit. The car will eventually be in the 13's or 14's with 300 hp/ 300 ft/lbs. What should I get and where from?

A Spec Stage 2 clutch (from Schoch, Thunder Racing, F-body motorsports, or Hawks) for $299 that includes throwout and pilot bearings {Do any of these places have any special deals going on that I don't spot instantly?}

A Dual Friction Centerforce from Jegs for $267.95 (with free shipping) but does not include throwout or pilot bearing

A Zoom HP clutch from Summit for 259.99 and does include throwout or pilot

Its seems that df used to be everyone's favorite, but now spec is the favorite. But I'd love some feedback.

What are you doing with the car? Do you race it, or is it just a drive to work thing? If you race it I would go with the Spec or Centerforce. Both would be about the same price after you buy the TOB and Pilot bearing for the DF. If you just drive it, go with the Zoom.

I had a Centerforce DF behind my LT1/4 for almost 3 years, drove the absolute **** out of the car, and when I pulled the trans on Wednesday, the clutch disc still looked awesome. Without comparing thicknesses, I could not see any noticable wear on it. The thing grabbed like crazy and never slipped until my flywheel got glazed. I would definitely reccommend it to anyone else.

I like my Centerforce DF. I've only had it for about 1000 miles, but it has a nice feel to it and grabs pretty good when you get on it.
