Bell Housing to Trans Boplt up Problem!

Ok guys,
I bought a used t5 out of a 96 v6. My car came w/ a T-5 in 83.

Thought this would be a pretty straight forward swap.

NOT!!!

Different bolt pattern on the bosses to the bellhousing.

Does ANYBODY know what bell housing i can use and where i can find one cheaply?

Didn't the 96 have the T56? You'd need a V8 bellhousing for a T56.

the fourth gen v-6 came with a t-5. but the bell housing was different. you need to use a bell housing from a v-8 camaro or f-bird. I do know you need a v-8 bell housing to mount up a t-5, as the v-6 is a totally different bolt pattern.

There isn't a SBC bellhousing which has the Ford T5 bell to trans pattern on it. Sorry. Go get the right transmission now.

I saw on ebay once an sbc bellhousing with what looked very much like the ford t5 pattern, if it was any different the naked eye couldn't tell. I should also say that it was from a production car, not aftermarket

Probably any V8 thirdgen T5 bellhousing would work.
