How much diff. fluid do I use?

I got some differential fluid and posi- additive bottles from AutoZone. How much of each should I pour into the pumpkin, or should all of it go in?

Btw, it's a regular 10-bolt 3.42 posi rear from an '89 IROC.

Typically 4 oz. of the posi additive, then fill the diff to the bottom of the fill hole.

To the bottom of the fill hole, does it pour out the bottom or something? How does it hold in there then?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the fill hole is usually on the SIDE of the pumpkin and therefore it's horizontal. You can only fill level with the bottom of the hole. Hope this clarifies the situation.

Mark.

While we're on the topic, I am going to change my gear fluid also. For the additive, I am going to use Trans-X Posi-Trac that comes in a 7 oz. tube and replaces Gm# 1052358. Should I use the entire tube?

My instinct and MrDude_1's post leads me to say yes.

its on the side.. you fill it until the level is even with the bottom of the hole on the side.... then you put the plug back in.
