tci torque converter lock up kit

I swapped from tpi to carb and bought the tci lock up kit.

The instructions seem fairly easy to follow, but we all know it is never as easy as we think. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to keep this a simple install? Anything to look out for? Any opinons at all?

I am going to install this kit this sunday and would like to have an idea of what I am getting into. Thanks for the replies

Its about as simple as the instructions indicate. You could have saved some money by buying a handful of GM parts instead of a kit.

I am thinking about hooking up to automatically lock up

I wont have any problems with it coming out of lock up if I drop the hammer on it at about 60 will I? Iirc it is vaccum operated to regulate tcc lockup and nonlockup

I think if I hook up the switch I will forget to use it or forget to turn it off

It will lock in 4th gear, but the vacuum switch will unlock it at WOT.
