Car: 1982 z28, 2007 Silverado Engine: 350 Chevy, 10-1 CR, Comp Cams 270h Transmission: Th350, Axle/Gears: 3.23 | Found a Posi 3.72 rear end w/ Disks Hi guys, I was cruising thorugh the local pick and pull, and there was an 83 Z28 with posi rear end, so I had a buddy spin a tire, and I counted about 3-3/4 turns of the pinion. Motor and trans were gone, but the car had a clutch pedal.
Anyway, the rearend looks to be in good shape, and it had disk brakes. How difficult of a swap is it from Drum rear end to a disk rear end.
I'd be going from a 2.73 open diff to a 3.73 posi, how much could that shave off my 1/4 mile et?
Gas mileage is of not much concern, since I dont drive it much anyway...
Thanks! | | |
