700R4 P/N identification
I picked up a 700R4 to rebuiod for a project car I have and need to decode so I can order a rebuild kit. These are the stamped numbers I took off the transmission.

Driver side in the middle of trans above the pan is #8663549. Passenger side very rear of trans on a boss is #7MZM212. The tailshaft has a @ stamped upside down #8642547-2. There are also 2 large stamped #'s 8 on the case a MD8 up by the bellhousing.

I am thinking it is a 87 transmssion going by the 7MZ# but hoping someone can verify what 700R4 I have.

That is an 87 trans that came out of a c series truck.
