Synthetic ATF in T5

I just changed the tranny fluid in my car. In the owners manual it says to use Dexron II ATF for the T5. I used Mobil1 Synthetic ATF which says that it will meet Dexron II specs. Has anyone else used synthetic in their T5? Any harm in using synthetic in mine?

maybe i was an isolated case, but i used some valvoline synthetic atf in my t-5 was hard to shift... ground occasinally... finally dumped the synthetic and dropped in reg atf - was much better... take it for what it's worth i guess

OK now I am not as worried about changing it. I do notice its a little easier getting it into Reverse now. I do occasionally haave some grinding when I shift into 5th which is happening a little more now with synthetic but I already had that happening sometimes before. Not sure why I'm getting that, Maybe my clutch needs adjustment.
