Car: 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 IROC Z Engine: Been too lazy to check.... Transmission: 5 Spd. Manual | Clutch and shifter problems Hey all hopin for some help since im relatively new to manual transmissions and clutches. Well with the help of my pops (and a Chilton Repair manual for Third gen Camaros and Firebirds ) I installed a new clutch on my '86 Camaro Z28 High Output with a Borg-warner 5spd. I followed the book word for word, diagram for diagram, and seemed to have done everything right. Heres the problem, I can't shift the car now, seems to stay in neutral, and whenever i turn on the car and release the clutch pedal it turns off. Before that whenever i turned on the car it just turned on without depressing the clutch. I have a gut feeling the throwout bearing and the shifter assembly are put on wrong. Any thoughts? Thanx for the help | | | |
