Governor cap gasket

For those of you that have messed with your governor on your 700R4 tranny, I'm just wondering, out of all of you, how many of you had/have/ or now have a gasket for the governor cover cap. Because I never did, and I replaced my govenor and **** but im gonna get a new cap, I just ordered one on ebay and it comes with a gasket as well.

From the factory they did not use a gasket. They schmooked it with sealant and smacked it on. I use a rubber gasket with a thin coat of clear silicone. Then I install an old turbo 350 bail wire over the cap to prevent it from popping off.
