T.V. Cable Adjustment?

When Car Craft had my Formula, they installed a Nitrous Works kit, which mounts inbetween the throttle body, and the plenum. I'm wondering if this has any affect on the length of the T.V. cable. The reason that I'm asking this is I can't get the adjustment down. I have tried the "push & click" method, but when it's done that way, under normal driving, the shifts are late or not at all unless I lift off the throttle and let it shift then give it gas again, but the shifts are firm & positive. When I pull the cable out a couple more clicks, the shifting is really weak, and the gears don't feel like they grab, but the shifting itself under normal driving is good.

The nitrous plate is about 1/2" thick so it moves the ends of the throttle cable, and T.V. cable out that much further from the mount on the plenum.

Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
I've contacted Nitrous Works, and they had no clue about this problem.
I just rebuilt the trans and now the fluid smells burnt. I don't want to have to rebuild it again.
