5 Pinion Planet Gears

I am having a transmission rebuilt and the guy asked me if I wanted 5 pinion planet gears installed. Do I? WTF are they lol

You don't need them. The factory 4 pinion gears are fine, if they pass inspection.

the 5 gear panetaries are nice if you get a US made one, only thing is they cost like $170 vs the import parts price of about $60, you dont NEED it but it's still an upgrade.

my 2 cents is yuor there if you got the money it isnt going to hurt. if you cant afford to do it right the first time can you afford the second? i put one in mine because i splattered the factory one.
