im getting ready to start ordering parts for my automatic swap. does it really matter if i use a 168 or 153 tooth flexplate. i know i have to check to make sure which one the starter works with. but i think the engine block has 2 set of starter holes. is one better than the other. the car had a manual so i know that that starter should work with a 153 tooth flexplate. any help would be great. thanks alot

my starter doesnt have a nose. it is a jegs gear reduction mini starter. there add says it is for 153-168 tooth flexplate. ill just get a 153 tooth flexplate.
Yes. If your motor is internally balanced you need a flexplate without a weight.
one piece rms engines are "internally balanced" but the flexplate still has that bat wing shaped weight on one end. FYI.
