T5 Rear Oil Seal

I just bought this part from the Chevy dealership, and it don't look right.

On the transmission it looks like part #84 on this diagram. It's a piece of rubber and resembles a sort of 'boot'.

The part they sold me looks like this.

Am I missing something here? Or did they just give me the wrong part?

ya it looks like part #84 in the diagram.

the part that they sold me that i took a picture of doesn't look anything like it.

unless, the rubber piece isn't the seal, and is just a dust cover or something..... in which case, how can i remove that to get to the seal to put the new one on?

Re: T5 Rear Oil Seal

Some cars had what looks like a dust boot made onto the rear seal that makes it look longer. These didn't. The thing you have is AFAIK the only available replacement part. It looks about like the right one to me.
