GMPP Flywheel NAL-14085720

I was thinking about buying this flywheel for my t5 swap, but then I saw this on Summit's website:

Warning - Performance and SFI-approved flywheels must be used with performance clutch discs only. Use of a stock-style clutch disk with a performance flywheel will often result in insufficient operating clearance between the disc hub and flywheel bolts.
Here's the link to Summit.

So does that mean you can't use a stock replacement clutch/pressure plate with this flywheel? Is anyone here running this flywheel?

Re: GMPP Flywheel NAL-14085720

Many heavy-duty flywheels have a thicker flange where they bolt to the crank, than others. Decreasing the likelihood of that part of it shattering, helps get SFI certification.

I have no clue about that particular GM one. Instinct tells me though, being GM, it's probably no thicker than stock, and will work fine; at least with any good-quality clutch disc, such as a Centerforce Dual Friction, SPEC, etc.

Yah I had that feeling, but I didn't want to be all the way into the swap only realize that the flywheel and clutch interfere. I was planning on getting the Hays clutch kit anyway. So either way I think I should be good to go.
