Re: ford t5 and chevy t5

input splines and shifter mount. ford's don't have the torque arm mount. plus i don't think the ford t-5's will bolt up to a chevy bell housing.

Re: ford t5 and chevy t5

The Chevy T5 is also tilted 23 degrees while the Ford T5 is straight up, thanks to the bellhousing.
Basically, the internals are similar but the outside is different.

See my sticky thread at the top about "everything we know about the T5."

Re: ford t5 and chevy t5

Is it possible to swap out the 4 forward gears and counter shaft from the ford to the Gm T5 keeping the GM 5th gear and tail shaft....Basically I have both a GM T5 and a Ford T5...I want the GM trans But would like the Ford gear ratios and 10 spline input shaft

Re: ford t5 and chevy t5

Why do you WANT a 10 spline input shaft?? I thought that was a bad thing?
Plus then you'd need to get an oddball clutch for the thing.

I think that's possible, however difficult - and again, why? The ratios are pretty close aren't they?

Re: ford t5 and chevy t5

I am doing a v6 to v8 swap I currently have a 14 spline which can only find a 9-1/8 in disk and 1st gear is 4.03 with a 10 spline I can get 10-1/4 in disk and 1st gear is 2.94

You should probably contact these guys:
http://www.rsgear.com/

There's another company that begins with an H in the northeast but I cant remember their name. They do a lot of Ford T5's.
